Have you ever felt nausea like this??

About three months ago we bought two recliners at a garage sale...one is generously used and slightly tilts to one side...it totally reminds me of my stepdad's chairs growing up - minus the crumbs(haha just kidding David)...and the other one is now my throne.  It's perfect, it eases my aches and pains from everyday, but especially nausea.  Right now I am sitting in my especially comfy recliner sipping on some ginger tea and trying to ease my pregnancy nausea.  Yes you heard me right, we are pregnant!  Yay!

We are all very excited.  Adeline is already calling it a she and is determined that she will have a little sister.  No boys allowed, according to her.  So I will sit here nursing my tummy and hoping that things don't get worse!

Post, Post, Post Bonfire

Well, life has gotten the better of me but here all the photos of the bonfire.  I didn't get a lot of photos because the battery died.  Leave it to me to forget to charge the battery.

It turned out pretty good.  We definitely had plenty of food and cooking on the barbie (as the Aussie's call it) was so much better and easier than the fire last year!

Adeline had such a fun time with all the girls.  They were camping out in her room playing with all her toys so I didn't get any pictures of her.  Darn!  Sorry.  After everyone left, Adeline started crying and said, I want to go to bed now.  It was 9:30.  She was toast!  Oh and the American marshmallows were a hit compared to the Aussie ones!  We definitely  know how to make better s'mores!

And uh, excuse all the eyes being closed...I guess the flash was too bright!!  Ha!

I am Not BatGirl

We have bats.  Grey Headed Flying Foxes to be exact.  While I am laying in bed at night, I hear them screeching and echoing against the trees.  Now, I always thought bats were fascinating creatures.  I can remember when Daniel and I first met, I drove him 3 hours to Austin Texas to see the bats there.  And back then that was a long way, back then anything longer than 15 minutes was a long way.  Now 3 hours seems like nothing, like going grocery shopping...oh yeah, that is how long it took me to go grocery shopping.

Anyway, back to my Daniel....I brought  a few blankets and we bought ice cream waiting for the sun to set while we cuddled and kissed not caring the it smelled like a dump yard from all the bat poo.  Then just when you thought they would never come out from under the bridge, hundreds and thousands of bats came flying out.   At this point it was pretty much too dark to see them but I don't think either of us cared.

(In the park waiting for the bats...I always loved his Elvis curl!)

So when I moved here, I had no idea that this is the perfect climate for bats.  And even until last week, I would point them out to Adeline as the sun would set.  But that was before....

before the endless screeching

before the constant echoing

and before the sleepless nights.

But I can't get too upset at the bats.  They did give me a reason to impress my husband and seduce him into marrying me and well, you know how that worked out.

Tired and totally in love,
